Founder & Chief Everything Officer
Mark has over 30 years’ experience in the on-premise channel. Mark began his trek into the wine industry helping to develop an advertising campaign for the Wineries of Washington while studying advertising at the University of Washington.
Mark has been focused on On-Premise his whole career. From managing the beverage program at a Southern California restaurant group, to on-premise sales then Wine Manager at Southern Wine & Spirits, to regional sales and moving to manage a team in on-premise national accounts at Robert Mondavi Winery, to then helping originate Constellation Wines' hotel division at after they purchased RMW.
Before the sale of the winery, Mark had realized there was a need and a niche to help guide and grow family-owned wineries and artisan spirit producers, to successfully enter into the on-premise national account’s arena. With that idea he formed Trellis Wine Group in June 2005 and is happily celebrating the company's 15th anniversary this year.
Mark and his wife Terry live in Sonoma and have three young adult children between them. Mark is a Certified Sommelier.
Czar of the Bar
When you’re with Mary, you’ll have what she’s having. Maybe it’s a classic cocktail as you wait for the show or a glass of Albariño with dinner. Whatever the case, there’s a drink to go with the place.
Mary first started in her calling bartending in Kansas City, and from there she moved to San Diego where she managed restaurants and nightclubs. Deciding to make a career in the beverage industry, she sharpened her sales skills as a sales rep. for Regal Wine Company and, upon moving to Arizona, honed her knowledge as a fine wine specialist with the Henry Wine Group.
With more than 30 years of industry experience, Mary led and managed the beverage program for more than 200 restaurants as the Vice President of Beverage and Bar Hospitality at P.F. Chang’s, crafting a full beverage menu with an innovative wine list, progressive drink program, local beers and an award winning bartender training program.
Mary and P.F. Chang’s were awarded the Best Training Program at the VIBE VISTA awards (2019), Best Chain Restaurant Wine Program at the VIBE VISTA awards (2018 & 2010), Best Chain Wine Program at the Cheers Beverage Conference (2011), and Best Overall Beverage Program at the Cheers Beverage Conference (2012). Mary was recently invited to be the keynote speaker at the WiVi Central Coast Conference.

Mark’s son Brandon has spent his life immersed—figuratively speaking—in the beverage world. Joining the business part-time in 2012, Brandon now spends nearly as much time on the road as Mark calling on our customers, conducting training, activating at events, and developing projects with our partners. Brandon performs many roles in the business, from recipe development to marketing and design beyond his primary responsibilities in sales.
Brandon & his fiancée Alisha live in the small town of Crockett, CA.
Ambassador of Wine & Spirits Intelligence
Kelsey is the monitor of placements at Trellis Wine Group. She discovered her love of wine at Fresno State where she met her winemaker husband and became indoctrinated into the wine world. Kelsey’s love of wine began among passionate, young winemakers which has instilled a profound appreciation for the skill and art of winemaking.
Hungry (and thirsty) for more wine knowledge, she has since managed operations at two family owned wineries in the Sonoma/Napa area. Moving from the production world to the sales world has been a rewarding experience. She is in charge of Placement Announcements, current program management, data collection, bookkeeping, and general operations at Trellis Headquarters in Sonoma.
When not managing the ins-and-outs of Trellis Wine & Spirits, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, yoga, gardening, and exploring California’s beautiful wine country.
Director of Dockets & Dossiers
Heather Wallace, Mark and Terry’s daughter, worked in Corporate America for Technology and Finance companies for the first 11+ years of her career, before deciding to switch gears and join the family business in 2018. Heather’s expertise lies in office management, account/process/project management, training, documentation creation/control, etc., and is using her skill-set to help create & manage internal and external processes here at Trellis. Heather also manages all pricing & distributor information for our partners, as well as sample requests and several administrative functionalities. Heather thrives in a small business atmosphere, and is happy to be working in such a fun industry!
In her spare time, Heather juggles as many creative endeavors as she can, while making time to get out in nature and explore all the museums, gardens, restaurants, and attractions the Bay Area has to offer.
Queen of Everything Else
Terry manages home base operations, tours, tastings, and hospitality for our visiting guests in Sonoma.
In a past life, Terry worked in the wine & spirits industry for such companies as Robert Mondavi, Seagram's, and Sydney Frank.
In her spare time, Terry is one of the most productive and successful realtors in the California Wine Country, conducting the sales & purchases of luxury homes, historic properties, and vineyard estates with Sotheby's International Realty.
