Greywacke is Kevin Judd’s Marlborough label, founded in 2009 after he spent 25 years helping define the global reputation of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The name comes from the rounded greywacke river stones common in local vineyard soils, a nod to the region’s alluvial geology and the mineral spine it can bring to the wines.

Judd is also a renowned photographer, and his vineyard images are part of the brand’s signature. In the glass, Greywacke balances precision with a deliberately minimal-intervention sensibility, including a wild-fermented Sauvignon Blanc that leans textural and savory, alongside a more classic, dialed-in expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
