John Duval Wine is a family-led Barossa project founded in 2003 after John Duval’s long tenure at Penfolds, where he helped shape the modern reputation of Grange. The wines are built around old-vine Barossa sourcing and a house style that favors structure and elegance over sheer weight, delivering reds with depth, savory detail, and ageworthy balance.

The portfolio includes cornerstone Barossa blends and single-variety expressions, with classic regional varieties taking the lead: Shiraz, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, alongside focused releases that showcase exceptional parcels. The business is now firmly multi-generational, with John’s eldest son, Tim Duval, working alongside him as general manager and sharing in winemaking, reinforcing the winery’s identity as a true family project with long-term intent.
