Mijenta is born from a desire to bring people together. Community and sustainability lie at the heart of Mijenta’s mission, and from the outset they have focused on bringing these core values to life. Derived from “Mi Gente,” which means “My People,” Mijenta refers to a community of like-minded people who come together to celebrate life. Because life is better shared.
Created by award winning Maestra Tequilera Ana María Romero, who brings over 25 years of experience in the tequila industry together in these unique expressions of terroir and craft. Both art and science play a role in creating Mijenta’s style, which elevates the agave, alongside fruit and floral aromas and hints of minerality.
Mijenta Tequila is proud to be the only tequila to earn B-Corp certification. This means they meet or exceed third-party assessment criteria measuring social impact across categories including corporate governance, the environment, community, employees and customers.
