Pedro Domecq is a historic name in Mexican wine, anchored by Bodegas Domecq in Baja California’s Valle de Guadalupe. Established in 1972, it was one of the region’s original modern wineries and helped set the foundation for the valley’s rise as México’s most important fine-wine zone.
The estate’s white-walled, mission-style winery includes one of the country’s largest underground caves, and its identity is closely tied to place. Under longtime winemaker Alberto Verdeja, the portfolio is built to showcase Valle de Guadalupe through a range of styles, from fresh whites to structured reds, with Cabernet Sauvignon playing a central role, including limited old-vine fruit planted at the winery’s founding.
The overall approach favors balance and clarity over heavy-handed signatures, delivering wines that feel distinctly Baja: sunlit ripeness, savory structure, and a clean, modern finish.
