TRELLIS has turned 21!


Why It Still Matters. The beverage world has changed enormously since I started Trellis in 2005. Consolidation has accelerated. The on-premise channel has grown more complex. Consumer tastes have evolved in ways none of us predicted.

 

And yet the core truth that launched this company has never been more relevant today: operators want to differentiate, guests want authenticity, and the most compelling stories behind a glass belong to independent, family-owned, and artisan producers. That's you!

 

The demand for what you represent — real provenance, real craft, real people — continues to grow. And Trellis remains uniquely built to connect that story to the decision-makers who put your creations in front of multitudes of guests.

 

The milestone carries a symbolic resonance as well. Just as the 21st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution ended Prohibition in 1933 — affirming the right of Americans to enjoy quality beverages freely — Trellis has spent 21 years fighting to ensure that independent producers have a fighting chance to be discovered and enjoyed in the nation's finest on-premise establishments.

 

A Heartfelt Thank You. Twenty-one years is a long time in any business. In the beverage industry, it represents relationships built across countless tastings, trade shows, market visits, and yes late evenings. It represents trust extended and trust earned. It represents the quiet satisfaction of seeing your creation on a list at a restaurant you love, in a city you've never visited.

 

We do not take lightly the confidence you place in us as your national accounts partner. You make something remarkable, and you trust us to represent it with the same care and pride with which you made it. That is a responsibility we take seriously every single day.
